Colin Connolly, President and Chief Executive Officer

In February 2019, Colin Connolly was elected to the Board of Directors of Cousins Properties, in addition to his election to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2019.

Colin joined Cousins in September 2011 as Senior Vice President, focused on acquisitions and dispositions. He became Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in May 2013, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in December 2015, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in July 2016.

Prior to joining Cousins, Colin served as Executive Director with Morgan Stanley from December 2009 to August 2011 and as Vice President with Morgan Stanley from December 2006 to December 2009.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Colin worked in the Investments Group at CarrAmerica Realty Corporation where he worked on the acquisition and disposition of office properties.

Gregg Adzema, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cousins Properties, Gregg is responsible for accounting, tax, treasury, banking and finance, capital markets, financial planning and modeling, investor relations, and information technology.

MEMBERSHIPS/CIVIC INVOLVEMENT:
Gregg currently serves on the Board of Visitors for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has previously served on the Boards of the Atlanta Ballet and the Charlotte Ballet.

Prior to joining Cousins in 2010, Gregg spent most of his 31-year career in senior financial, investment and advisory roles in commercial real estate. He was with Summit Properties, a publicly traded apartment REIT, from 1996 to 2005, the last four years of which he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and led Summit’s highly successful sale to Camden Property Trust.

He was also previously with Arthur Andersen, PulteGroup and Wells Fargo. Immediately prior to joining Cousins, Gregg served as Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President for two advisory and real estate firms in Charlotte, NC.

Richard Hickson, Executive Vice President - Operations

Richard joined Cousins in 2016 and currently serves as its Executive Vice President of Operations. In this role, Richard is responsible for all leasing, property operations and asset management for the Company’s existing Sun Belt portfolio.

Richard has over 20 years of wide-ranging commercial real estate, finance and transactional experience gained through roles in public and private real estate operating companies, family offices and financial institutions. Richard’s experience includes multiple operations, investments and finance roles held between 2004 and 2012 at Parkway Properties, Inc., also a publicly-traded REIT. Richard initially joined Parkway as a Property Manager in Atlanta, Georgia, ultimately serving for two years as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Richard began his career in investment banking with both regional and global financial services firms.

Kennedy Hicks, Executive Vice President - Investments, Managing Director - Atlanta

Kennedy Hicks is the Executive Vice President of Investments for Cousins. In this role, she is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, investments in development and portfolio strategy. In July 2020, Kennedy was also named Managing Director of the Atlanta market, overseeing the operations and business development for the Company’s seven million square feet within the city.

MEMBERSHIP/CIVIC INVOLVEMENT:
Kennedy is a member of The Westminster Schools Alumni Board as well as the Atlanta Children's Shelter Board.

Prior to joining Cousins in 2018, Kennedy was a Managing Director with Eastdil Secured, a global real estate investment banking company. In this role, she was primarily responsible for advising and representing clients on equity sales or ventures for institutional office properties throughout the Sun Belt. During her tenure at Eastdil Secured, she was instrumental in securing and executing over $22 billion in office sale or joint venture assignments. Before joining Eastdil Secured, Kennedy was a Director of Finance with CBRE’s Southeast Office Investment Team.

John McColl, Executive Vice President - Development

John has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate development and finance. He manages development and property operations for Cousins and has been involved with some of Cousins’ most significant developments during his 23 years at Cousins, including Norfolk Southern's Headquarters, NCR, Terminus, Gateway Village, and Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta.

MEMBERSHIPS/CIVIC INVOLVEMENT:
John is a member of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2001, and serves as a director and Vice Chair for the Midtown Community Improvement District. He served as chairman of the Atlanta Police Foundation Board (both company and advisory boards). He is a trustee-emeritus and elder of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta leading the Campus Master Planning committee. He serves on the Kenan Flagler Business School Foundation board and the National Advisory Board for The Ackland Museum at UNC-CH

Before joining Cousins in 1996, John specialized in investment and acquisition for Hutchinson Capital Group and Quest Capital Corp. At those firms, he managed and grew a portfolio of 20 operating companies with combined revenues of $1.6 billion. Prior to that, he was an assistant vice president for Wachovia Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Finance Division, where he managed a portfolio of secured office and industrial loans.

Pamela Roper, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Pam is responsible for Cousins’ legal and regulatory compliance, corporate governance and risk management and mitigation. In addition, she is responsible for the execution of all of Cousins’ transactions, including debt financings, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures. Pam also has legal responsibility for the Corporation's human resources and insurance functions.

From August 2003 through September 2012, Pam served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary, with primary responsibility for all legal aspects of the leasing and asset management groups of Cousins, including oversight of all office and retail leases and of all litigation affecting the retail or asset portfolio, including bankruptcy matters and trademark defense.

Prior to joining Cousins, Pam practiced with the Atlanta-based national law firm of Eversheds Sutherland, where her focus was fairly evenly divided between development, leasing and lending, with the majority of that time spent representing retail developers in those practice areas.
